Prelims has only Reasoning and Numerical Ability, 40 questions each. Mains adds General Awareness, English or Hindi, and Computer Knowledge. In the December 2025 Prelims, puzzles and seating gave 18 Reasoning questions and simplification 15 Numerical questions in every shift.

Reasoning
40 questionsQuestions in the paper
18 in every shift. Three puzzles and one seating set, or two of each. Types seen: floor and flat, box, day, month with date, post, stack, order and ranking; seating in a line, a square, a circle and two parallel rows.
5 to 10 a shift. Alphanumeric, letter and number-symbol series. Two shifts had two sets of five.
3 to 4 a shift. Among the fastest marks in the paper. Do these first.
3 to 4 a shift. One shift included 'only a few' type statements.
3 a shift. Each shift had one of the two, never both.
0 to 5 a shift. A set of five in two of the five shifts, absent in the rest.
2 to 3 a shift. Pair formation, meaningful word and other one-off questions.
