About RRB NTPC

Railway Recruitment Boards — Non-Technical Popular Categories

RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) is the Railway Recruitment Boards' recruitment for clerical, commercial and traffic posts. The 2026 cycle runs as two notifications: Graduate level (CEN 06/2026, 3,548 posts) for Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Goods Train Manager, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist, and Undergraduate level (CEN 07/2026, 1,688 posts) for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk. Both start with CBT 1, a 100-question screening test of 90 minutes, followed by CBT 2 of 120 questions. Some posts then need a Typing Skill Test before document verification and the medical. Every wrong answer costs one third of a mark.
