Questions about this tool
How do I use the age calculator?
Enter your date of birth, then the cut-off date from the exam notice, then the upper age limit. Add the relaxation that applies to your category. The result shows your age on the cut-off date and the last cut-off date you stay inside the limit.
Which date is my age counted on?
Every notice names one cut-off date, such as 1 January or the last date to apply. Use that date, not today's date. The calculator starts with today only so you can see your current age.
What age relaxation do I get?
For central government exams the usual relaxation is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC and ST, and 10 years for persons with disabilities, with more for ex-servicemen. State exams, including Tripura, set their own relaxation, so take the number from the notice of your exam.
Is 32 years the same as 32 years 11 months?
In most notices, yes. A candidate stays inside a limit of 32 years until they complete 33 years on the cut-off date. A few notices count differently, so read the age clause of your notice.
Is my date of birth saved?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to MockBlast.
