About SSC CGL
SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit graduates into Group B and Group C posts across central government departments. The Tier-I computer-based test has 100 questions across four sections — General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension — to be solved in 60 minutes with 0.5 marks deducted for every wrong answer. Selection Process
SSC CGL post list & pay scale
Pay scales are as per the 7th Pay Commission. Actual in-hand salary varies by city (HRA) and allowances. Posts allotted based on Tier II score + preference.
SSC CGL exam pattern
Session I (1 hr): Mathematical Abilities + Reasoning. Session II (1 hr): English + GK + Computer. Each wrong answer: −1 mark.
