Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission — Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2026

UPPSC PCS is the Uttar Pradesh state civil services exam for Group A and B posts such as Deputy Collector, DSP, BDO and Sub Registrar. The 2026 advertisement (A-1/E-1/2026) came on 25 June 2026 for about 500 posts. The Prelims screens candidates for the Mains. After the Mains comes the interview.

How many posts are in UPPSC PCS 2026?

About 500 in Group A and B services as per most sources. One source says 200, so the official notification decides.

What is the age limit?

21 to 40 years on 1 July 2026 for the general category. Reserved categories get relaxation as per UP rules.

What is the application fee?

₹125 for general, OBC and EWS, ₹65 for SC/ST and ₹25 for PwD, as reported by coaching sites.

Is CSAT counted in the merit?

No. CSAT is qualifying: you need 33%. The General Studies paper decides who goes to the Mains.

Is there negative marking in the UPPSC Prelims?

Coaching sites report 1/3 of the marks of a question for each wrong answer. Confirm in the official notification.
