CBT 1 answer key: what we know now

Last cycle, for timing

Both keys came about a week after the last paper. If RRB keeps that pace, the JE key could come in early November and the ALP key in mid-November. This is a guess from last year, not an RRB date.

How to download the answer key and response sheet

1. Open the website of the RRB you applied to (for example rrbguwahati.gov.in or rrbkolkata.gov.in) and click the CBT 1 answer key link.

2. Log in with your registration number and date of birth.

3. You see every question with your response and RRB's answer key.

4. Save it as a PDF. The link closes when the objection window ends.

How to raise an objection

In the same login, pick the question, choose what is wrong (question, option or key) and pay ₹50 plus bank charges per question by card, UPI or net banking.

If RRB finds your objection right, the fee comes back to the account you paid from, minus bank charges. Objections after the closing time are not taken, and RRB's decision is final.

How to count your marks

Each right answer is 1 mark and each wrong one costs one third of a mark. Score = right answers − (wrong answers ÷ 3).

JE example: 70 right and 15 wrong gives 70 − 5 = 65 out of 100. ALP example: 55 right and 12 wrong gives 55 − 4 = 51 out of 75.

RRB normalises marks across shifts, so your official score can be a little different from this count.
