How many Tripura Forester posts are there in 2026?

104 posts: 39 UR (1 ex-serviceman), 21 SC and 44 ST (1 ex-serviceman), with 35 reserved for women. The number can change.

What is the Forester exam pattern?

A 170-mark written MCQ exam — Mathematics 20, English 20, General Knowledge 100 and Science 30, at Class 10 level — and a 30-mark interview. A 100-mark Bengali or Kokborok paper is qualifying only, with 40% needed.

How is Forester different from Forest Guard?

Forester needs Higher Secondary and pays Level-7 (Grade Pay Rs. 2,200); Forest Guard needs Madhyamik and pays Level-6 (Grade Pay Rs. 2,100). Forester adds a 30-mark Science section and has 100 GK marks against Forest Guard's 120. The physical test is the same, and you take it once if you applied for both.
